Frequently Asked Questions

Who invented Pareto Eco Score ?

The Pareto Eco Score was invented by William, whose French name is Guillaume Coursin. A former executive in the private sector, William designed the Pareto Eco Score to be understandable both to the general public and to private company executives who think three years ahead. The PES is also designed to encourage an acceleration of the ecological transition by making financial stakeholders more accountable.

What are my rewards if I become a member ?

By becoming a member of the PEP'S community, you actually become a member of one or both of PEP'S's co-founding associations: I Tech 4 Climate and I Tech 4 Wild. Whether you advocate for the climate or biodiversity cause, you gain uniform access to the future PEP'S digital platform, financial education tools, impact investment opportunities, and tools for managing your financial flows via the Pareto Eco Score.

What is PEP’S project's bank?

The PEP'S project bank is Crédit Mutuel, a French bank ranked among the top three in the Pareto Eco Score. So, when you donate, you know your money is going to a "green" bank, as defined by the Pareto Eco Score.

As a bank, why and how can I be identified as “green” in the Pareto Eco Score?

The bank's status comes directly from the PES calculation based on data from the Banking on Climate Chaos report, which analyzes the investments of 60 systemic banks. Only 20% of banks, or 12 banks, are green. The only way to become "green" is to be among the top 12 banks that invest the least in fossil fuels, by reducing fossil fuel investments today and observing the change in PES in three years.

As a company, why and how should I integrate the Pareto Eco Score into my users’ digital experience?

If you want to attract an increasingly environmentally aware audience and differentiate yourself from the competition, the Pareto Eco Score allows you to add new information and features. For example, myBudly.com is a project that aims to offer, by the end of 2025, the calculation of the best travel itinerary based on the eco-responsibility level of service providers' banks.
