Why did we start this mission?
We believe that with the right everyday tools for every financial action, we can collectively and democratically influence the global economy.Systemic banks are the key link and main lever between citizens and companies that impact the environment and biodiversity. They connect 8 billions people with 200 millions businesses worldwide.At the core of private financing mechanisms, they account for over 80% of investments in the OECD, which includes the world's wealthiest nations.
They act as a leverage factor of x5 or more, artificially multiplying our money to invest in businesses green or not (see BALE III literature, CET1 ratio, etc.). Every €1 deposited in a bank gives it an investment power of €5, €6, or even €7.
Systemic banks are therefore the essential operational link in driving major change if each of us had the tools to decide where our financial flows go.
The mission we are working towards
The Pareto Eco Project is an NGO initiative inspired by Reclaim Finance, Yuka, and Team For The Planet, aiming to develop a global digital platform within three years to promote ethical banks those that limit investments in fossil fuels and biodiversity-destroying industries.
